  • Birch and Barley is hosting the Battle of the Brews today at 5:00 p.m. in Pullman, where local beers, ciders, Octoberfest-themed food, karaoke, and prizes are offered. Attendees will vote for their favorite beer—each linked to one of four local nonprofits, with the winning organization set to receive a $300 donation.  Pullman Radio

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Washington State University will show the documentary 'The Invisible Mammal' on Thursday, October 23 at the CUB Auditorium from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.—doors open at 5:30 p.m. The 90-minute film follows researchers fighting a deadly bat disease and will include a Q&A with local bat experts as part of International Bat Week.  Pullman Radio

  • A cougar was sighted on South Hill and local wildlife officials are monitoring the area—residents are urged to be cautious and report any further sightings.  KXLY
