- ➤ United Way of Whitman County awarded $2,000 to Palouse Habitat for Humanity to purchase tools for its Ramps—Rails Program that builds free custom access ramps for qualifying households, including elderly residents, veterans, and people with disabilities. The grant will help volunteer crews work more efficiently and safely as they aim to complete 50 additional repair projects later this year. Pullman Radio

- ➤ The Albion Library is partnering with the Whitman County Parks Department to offer Spooky Trail Tales at Klemgard Park through October 31 — a family reading trail that follows a 1-mile loop featuring ghost stories based on Japanese kaidan traditions and begins across the footbridge over Union Flat Creek.
