- ➤ Local fires are causing smoke and haze to hang over Pullman today — conditions that may continue in the coming days. KXLY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Whitman County residents have received property valuation notices showing sharp increases from last year, explained in a letter by Art Swannack. The letter said that although properties must be valued at true market value, county taxes will rise only by last year's total plus 1%, and owners can appeal discrepancies within 30 days — details that set the record straight. - ➤ Local officials announced that funding will be provided for a study to review park bathroom conditions, safety, & accessibility. The study will gather community feedback and examine design ideas to improve these facilities. KXLY
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Washington State University is expanding alcohol sales at Martin Stadium for the Apple Cup next Saturday—fans who leave will not be allowed to re-enter except in the student section, and state regulators approved the new policy this week. Pullman Radio
