The Palouse Empire Fair outside Colfax begins Thursday and runs for four-day until Sunday.
Gates open at 8:00 a.m. with an opening ceremony at 10:00 a.m. and a carnival starting at 3:00 p.m. at fairgrounds off State Route 26.
The City of Pullman will host the Pullman Picnic downtown on Saturday, Sept.
12 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. along NE Kamiaken Street — if rain occurs, the event will move to the Pullman Recreation Center, so check local updates.
🎭 Culture
Whitman County Historical Society was selected to receive $258,500 state funding pending legislative approval to restore Pullman's historic Northern Pacific railway depot at 330 N.
Grand Ave — the project will renew plaster ceilings, terrazzo flooring, woodwork in doors and windows, and public restrooms.

WSU’s Ol’ Crimson was named the inaugural member of ESPN College GameDay’s new Hall of Fan during Saturday morning’s broadcast from Baton Rouge + the flag made its 338th consecutive appearance, continuing a tradition begun in 2003 when WSU alumnus Tom Pounds first waved it in Austin.
