- ➤ A 20-year-old Rosalia man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Tekoa Saturday morning after trying an unsafe pass at Poplar and Washington Streets—he was flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane while the truck driver and passenger sustained minor injuries. Pullman Radio
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 28-year-old man from Dayton was arrested Thursday night at 11:00 p.m. at a Dusty gas station for allegedly selling drugs via Facebook—he was found with illegal mushrooms, LDS, MDMA and a synthetic psychedelic plus a digital scale and made his first court appearance Friday in Whitman County Superior Court. - ➤ Pullman High School senior Abby Wu was selected to serve as the newest student board member for the Washington State Board of Education. A competitive varsity swimmer and digital media enthusiast, Abby said she applied to ensure rural students have their voices heard. Pullman Radio
- ➤ The second annual WSU/UW Apple Cup Food Pantry Challenge is underway to help students fight hunger by inviting fans to donate to campus food pantries until midnight on September 20 — organizers expect more support this year following WSU’s win and nearly $20,000 raised last year — as food insecurity grows among college students. - ➤ Sunnyside Elementary in Pullman was recently honored as a Promising Practices Professional Learning Community at Work by Solution Tree for raising student achievement over one to two years — a recognition tied to strong team effort — as Principal Pam Brantner confirmed the school is on the right track.
