GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The repaving of U.S. Highway 195 near Pullman has been postponed to next spring — the delay comes after International Union of Operating Engineers Local 302's strike on August 12 halted work on nine miles of highway. Washington State Department of Transportation informed local agencies that Poe Asphalt’s 3.5 million dollar project will be rescheduled accordingly. Pullman Radio
- ➤ The Port of Whitman County is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony today at 3:00 for a new fertilizer manufacturing and distribution facility built by AGROW Solutions in Central Ferry on the Snake River—part of a 20-year lease that funded key infrastructure upgrades with state and company dollars.
