ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A serious injury crash has closed Highway 195 between Pullman and Colfax—drivers should use State Route 27 for northbound travel and State Route 272 for southbound travel to make room for emergency vehicles.  KXLY

BUSINESS NEWS

  • An Amazon warehouse is under construction near the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport—expected to reduce delivery times in the Palouse. A company spokesperson said the facility will boost local service once it opens.  KLEW

CRIME NEWS

  • Investigators released nearly 700 pictures from Bryan Kohberger's Pullman apartment that show he left textbooks, graded papers and a fridge full of food after leaving town in mid-December following his November 2022 admission of killing four University of Idaho students—authorities note the items were not linked directly to the victims.  KXLY

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Whitman County Library in Colfax is accepting family-friendly Halloween art submissions for an October exhibit in The Libey Gallery. Submissions will be accepted from September 2 to September 20 and two-dimensional works up to 24 x 36 inches will be shown at Halloween Storytime and Spooktacular — an after-hours event for adults on October 11.  Pullman Radio

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The WSU Master Gardeners are hosting Garden Talk Tuesday at Neill Public Library at 1:00 p.m. on September 2 to share autumn garden preparation tips—covering leaf management, care for vegetable and ornamental beds, and tool maintenance. Attendees can also visit an Ask A Master Gardener table to get advice and bring plant samples.  Pullman Radio

SPORTS NEWS

  • WSU fans are tailgating across from Martin Stadium as the Cougars prepare to face Idaho tonight in their 93rd football matchup. The university has set up nearly 100 extra camping spots on Mooberry Track and Grimes Field due to limited hotel space and longtime tailgaters keep the tradition alive—one group has celebrated it for 50 years.  KXLY
  • Fans in Pullman are eagerly waiting as the season opener sees the Cougars and Vandals gearing up for a competitive game—expectations are high for a closely fought matchup.  KXLY
