- ➤ The Latah Recovery Community is offering free back-to-school haircuts for students today at the 1912 Center from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm—spaces are limited so parents should reserve a spot by emailing organizers. Pullman Radio

- ➤ Today the Music on Main free outdoor concert series continues in downtown Pullman — German band Auf Gehts will perform at Pine Street Plaza from 6:00 to 8:00. Pullman Radio
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Calby Van Hollebeke, a WSU student from Kahlotus, is leading Harvest Interludes—a classical music trio—to bring live classical music to local farmers during summer harvest lunch breaks in Southeastern Washington. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Pullman High School improved its ranking in the US News & World Reports Best High Schools list—moving up to 1,415th nationally and 22nd in state, while Moscow High School slipped to 2,988th nationally and remained 11th in Idaho. The ranking changes follow last year’s results and show a clear shift for both schools. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Washington State University will honor 69 employees who have served 25 years or more at its 92nd Annual Quarter Century Club Breakfast on September 4 at 9:15 a.m. in the M.G. Carey Senior Ballroom. Registration closes today with a $25 fee for guests while honorees attend for free. Pullman Radio

- ➤ First Down Friday returns in downtown Pullman for WSU home football games and will feature family-friendly events with a cornhole tournament, live music, dancing, local vendors and a beer garden on Olsen Street in front of Neill Public Library — scheduled on August 29 before the Idaho game and on September 19 before the Washington game. Organizers include the Pullman Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Pullman Association, WSU and the City. Pullman Radio
