- ➤ Genesee Creative Collective is hosting a pop-up market at Genesee City Park on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. — the event returns every 2nd and 4th Wednesday from June 25 through September and features fresh produce, handmade wares and cottage foods. Pullman Radio
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A Pullman man was unhurt in a Garfield County crash Monday afternoon on U.S. Highway 12 at State Route 127 west of Pomeroy that injured two Western Washington residents when a 79-year-old Corvette driver from Ferndale failed to yield to a northbound pickup. Pullman Radio
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Moscow police arrested 31-year-old Shaun Claypool and 28-year-old Cyra Cunningham for allegedly selling drugs after a drug-sniffing dog found fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, cash and stolen power tools in a pickup truck on Lieuallen Street Monday morning — officers also detained Ruben Padilla on a warrant for drug paraphernalia. - ➤ Today, Raza Northwest will perform Latin rock, Latin dance and reggae at Reaney Park at 6:00 p.m. as part of Pullman’s Concerts in the Park series—bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the free, outdoor show. Pullman Radio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, the Washington State Fire Marshal’s Office advised travelers to check that hotels and vacation rentals have fire sprinklers, smoke alarms and clear evacuation routes — a precaution prompted by 302 temporary lodging fires in 2024 that cost about $6 million in damage. The office stressed that fire safety measures remain crucial whether at home or on the road. KXLY
- ➤ Pullman City Councilman Nathan Weller reversed his earlier call to ban fireworks at Cougar games and instead asked the city to use its website to alert residents—especially his College Hill neighbors who are often disturbed by the displays—when fireworks are scheduled; he made the suggestion during a recent council meeting.
