- ➤ Local news reports that a new tiny home community for homeless residents is planned in Pullman—officials say it will provide new housing options for those in need. Further details on the project’s development will be released as they become available. KXLY
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Pullman Depot Heritage Center is launching a restoration project for a 1946 day coach and a 1978 caboose at its downtown facility on N. Grand Avenue. Local contractor Dan Thayer will repair and paint the cars with historically correct logos and insignia — the project will take 120 to 160 days and needs community support to secure part of the $225,000 cost in memory of local train enthusiast Ken Vogel. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ High school athletes can get free walk-in sports physicals at three Gritman Medical Center rural clinics this month. Potlatch Family Medicine will host sessions on July 21 from 1-5 p.m. — Troy Family Medicine and Kendrick Family Medicine will open on July 24 and July 31 and require parents to accompany youth under 18 with completed consent forms.
