The Pullman High School Class of 2015 is holding a walk-a-thon on Saturday, July 5 on the school track from 10 a.m.—11:30 a.m. to honor classmate Lauren McCluskey and is asking for donations to the Lauren McCluskey Foundation.

Former Pullman resident Bryan Kohberger pleaded guilty under a deal to drop the death penalty for four counts of first-degree murder in the killing of University of Idaho students— a hearing on the plea was held July 2 before Judge Steven Hippler.

The Port of Whitman County got a $2 million grant to build a new Technology Transfer and Commercialization Facility at Pullman Industrial Park—it will give tech companies a space with special power and waste handling needs.

The project is expected to create between 170 to 300 jobs and cost between $9 to $10 million, and construction is scheduled to finish by late 2027 or in 2028.
