- ➤ Kids and families will bring their favorite stuffed animal to Gritman Medical Center for a free check-up at the Teddy Bear Clinic on Saturday, June 21 at 10 a.m. Children will learn about healthy habits by weighing, measuring and suturing their toys and touring emergency vehicles with first responders including Joe Vandal and the cheerful Charlie Bear mascot—an interactive way to learn safety skills. - ➤ Pullman Civic Trust invites residents to join a free, family-friendly trail event on June 20 at the station near Pine St. Plaza Waterfall — participants receive a map with clues and stops to celebrate local trails and the first day of summer. Pullman Radio
- ➤ The Pullman Aquatic and Fitness Center is closed until further notice because its air intake and exhaust system have issues. Some swim lessons are canceled while others move to Reaney Park Pool — contact the Pullman Recreation Center for updates. Pullman Radio
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ A memorial service for local folk singer Dan Maher is scheduled for Saturday at 11:00 at Living Faith Fellowship on South Grand Avenue to honor the radio host and performer who lost his battle with cancer. The service will remember his more than 40 years on public radio and many performances on the Palouse. Pullman Radio
