ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A 24-year-old Spokane man, Muhammad Razvi, was severely injured when he missed a curve on his motorcycle and crashed into a ravine near Tekoa on Saturday night; Whitman County deputies and emergency crews responded around 8:00 at Fairbanks and Waterman Roads, and he was flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center where high speed was believed to be a factor.  Pullman Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Pullman will receive nearly one million dollars for a new Memory Garden at Lawson Gardens on Pioneer Hill after Elinor McCloskey donated $900k plus the funds will go into the Restricted Parks Donation Fund with council members set to approve the donation during their meeting today.  Pullman Radio
  • City staff alert residents that a new flow meter on Booster Well 8 may cause discolored water on Military Hill and advise flushing systems with cold water in sinks and bathtubs, though the water is safe for use.  Pullman Radio

HEALTH NEWS

  • Pullman Regional Hospital will host its 20th Annual Golf Classic on July 19 at Palouse Ridge Golf Club—golfers begin with breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, and registration is open until July 11 for a $250 fee that covers green fees, range balls, a cart, breakfast, and lunch while funds will support expansion of the emergency and recovery areas.  Pullman Radio

  • A local report offers tips to protect yourself when meeting for online shopping deals. The advice recommends meeting in public spots—telling a friend the details and checking the other party’s credentials before trading items.  KXLY

  • Local pitcher Woods threw a no-hitter in the College World Series—marking the first time this rare feat has been recorded since previous records. His achievement brings a notable milestone for the team.  KXLY
