CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Lane Hunting Smith was sentenced to life in prison for four counts of first-degree child rape + he must register as a sex offender for life and may be eligible for release after 23.5 years pending review by the Indeterminate Sentencing Review Board, following his January arrest when a 9-year-old victim reported the crime to Pullman police + the case highlights the severe actions taken by the Whitman County Prosecutor’s Office.
