COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ The Potlatch Farmers Market began yesterday and will run every Wednesday until September with farmers, artists, food vendors and performers gathering from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Historic Washington Idaho and Montana Depot in Potlatch. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Pullman Child Welfare is running low on food donations as its food bank, which serves over 100 local families and is located across Stadium Way from Rosauers, invites residents to drop off items on Saturday mornings (9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.). Pullman Radio
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A motorcyclist was severely injured Tuesday afternoon west of Pullman when he missed a curve on Wawawai Road (near the Snake River) and crashed down an embankment, and he was airlifted to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center before being moved to Sacred Heart Medical Center. Pullman Radio

- ➤ Foundry Kitchen & Cocktails in downtown Pullman permanently closed its doors last weekend as the owners stepped back to enter a new phase after 10 years of service; its space is now available for lease amid a series of business closures in the area. Pullman Radio
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Pullman High School boys tennis team won an academic state championship on June 4 after earning a 3.955 GPA, which ranked them as the third smartest team statewide among all boys and girls classifications. Pullman Radio
- ➤ The Pullman School District announced finalists for principal jobs at Franklin and Kamiak Elementaries, naming candidates including Pullman High School Assistant Principal Jacob Gion, Priest Lake Elementary School Principal Loretta Glazier, Sunnyside Elementary School Teacher Annalisa Kiblen, Hendricks Minnesota Public Schools Principal Elizabeth Pavlik and Jefferson Elementary School Assistant Principal Cheyenne Webber. A community forum to meet the finalists will take place today at Lincoln Middle School from 4:45 to 5:30. Pullman Radio
FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ The WSU Regents will approve a brief transfer of nearly $100 million from housing, dining, parking and transportation funds—covering Cougar Athletics' cumulative debt—at today's virtual meeting at 8:00 a.m. The athletics department stayed on-budget with $77.5 million in revenue and spending this fiscal year, and the funds will be returned on July 1 when the new fiscal year begins. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Construction crews worked along multiple roads in Pullman Wednesday as Ziply crews upgraded fiber on NE Valley Road and NE Brandi Way. Crews repaired asphalt on Paradise, Pine and McKensie Streets from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.—with flaggers, signs and moving traffic controls in place to slow drivers. KXLY
