COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport is hosting an open house on Saturday, April 26 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at its new terminal located at 3625 NE Airport Dr, Building 230 in Pullman, where the community will explore equipment displays, yard games, an obstacle course and food and beverages.  Pullman Radio
  • Former WSU kicker Dean Janikowski is hosting his third annual Kicking Cancer fundraiser Friday night in Pullman at Zeppoz–5:00 to 9:00. The event will include a bowling tournament and auctions to benefit local cancer patients and honor his late mother, following a $55,000 raise last year.  Pullman Radio

CULTURE NEWS

  • University of Idaho alum Megan Griffiths will receive the inaugural Trailblazer Award at the KINO Short Film Festival, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary in Moscow from April 25 to 26 at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center. She will screen her work on April 26 at 7:30 p.m. and lead a masterclass in directing at the U of I Education Building (room 443).  Pullman Radio
  • The Regional Theater of the Palouse in Pullman will present 'An American in Paris,' a musical based on the award-winning film that follows a young American soldier and a French girl during World War II. Evening shows are set for Apr 24-26 and Apr 30-May 3 at 7:30 p.m. and matinees for Apr 26-27 and May 3-4 at 1:30 p.m.—covering a full schedule until May 4.  Pullman Radio

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Pullman High School’s DECA team qualified for Internationals by winning the state title and 14 students left for Florida this morning — they will compete in Orlando from Saturday through Tuesday.  Pullman Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Pullman resident Ron Morgan will not run for the Whitman County Commissioner seat this year because he wants to focus on his new job as a manager at Zeppoz. Filing for the seat opens May 5th and other nominated candidates will continue in the race.  Pullman Radio
