- ➤ The University of Idaho is hosting a Vendor Interest Meeting today at 6:00 p.m. in the Middle Events Room at Latah County Fairgrounds — local farmers, artists and food vendors will get key details about joining Tuesday Market season including vendor requirements, the application process and marketing opportunities. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ WSU officials announced that a large section of Stadium Way on campus will be repaved between May 12th and June 13th—during which a segment will be closed to traffic for up to a week. The project might also include repaving the intersection of Stadium and Nevada Street—an update that will be posted on WSU’s website. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Washington State University shut down the Alpha Sigma Phi house and withdrew its recognition until May 2030 for hazing that forced new members to drink alcohol and marijuana while performing cleaning and physical tasks over several semesters — the school also said that Sigma Chi is on probation for chaining doors shut during a social event and that Phi Gamma Delta faces a new investigation for hazing and physical harm allegations. - ➤ Pullman High School is hosting a free presentation at the PHS Auditorium today at 7:00 p.m. where Andrew Laszlo's son will talk about his father's life—Laszlo grew up in Papa, Hungary, survived the Holocaust, worked on films like Shogun and Rambo: First Blood, and was honored with Elie Wiesel for 2004 Days of Remembrance. - ➤ The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association + Gesa Credit Union + Dairy Farmers of Washington announced that Colfax resident James McAnally was one of eight students to win a $1,000 award in the 13th annual Smart Choices Scholarship. The award recognizes excellence in academics, athletics/activities, leadership and community among a select group of ten state recipients. Pullman Radio
