- ➤ Three girls are competing for the Garfield-Palouse Distinguished Young Woman title at the Spring Fling themed program on Friday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. held at Garfield School Auditorium (West 405 California Street), where attendees aged 12 and older pay an admission fee while younger children attend free. - ➤ The Washington Idaho Symphony will present Emerging Narratives on Sunday, Apr. 12 at Pullman High School—highlighting winners of the 2026 Young Artist Competition with a free pre-concert performance at 2:00 p.m. and a main concert at 3:00 p.m. Pullman Radio
- ➤ American rapper and producer Lil Jon featuring Harry Mack is performing today at the ICCU Arena as part of the University of Idaho’s Spring Parent and Family Weekend. Pullman fans can look forward to a lively concert that adds energy to the season’s spring activities. The Daily Evergreen

- ➤ A Washington State University entomology professor is using new solar tag technology with Wings Rising on the Adopt-a-Monarch project to tag at least 100 butterflies before they leave Idaho later this summer. - ➤ RSVP deadline is Friday at noon for next week's Pullman Chamber of Commerce luncheon where state legislators will discuss the recent session in Olympia. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the SEL Event Center. Pullman Radio

- ➤ Pullman Regional Hospital is teaming with Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington to restart the senior meals program in Whitman County, set to serve congregate meals in Colfax, Colton/Uniontown, Palouse and Pullman. - ➤ Makayla Taufen (from Tekoa) won a gold medal Saturday at Bonners Ferry in the U14 110-pound Greco-Roman Freestyle tournament. She competes today at the USA Wrestling Women's National Championships at The Podium in Spokane. Whitman County Gazette
- ➤ The Cougs are working to improve their defense consistency as part of their season strategy, with coaches emphasizing training + adjustments to boost performance in upcoming games. KXLY
- ➤ The Pullman High School boys tennis team has maintained an unbeaten league record since the league began and earned its 50th win on March 17; they will play West Valley on April 14 to extend their 60-game winning streak at home. Whitman County Gazette
