- ➤ Rico's Public House in Pullman is hosting a Trivia Night today to support six-month-old puppy Yuna, who survived a house fire after being adopted from the Whitman County Humane Society. Attendees can join multi-round team trivia starting at 7:00 p.m. (with a $10 suggested donation) to help cover Yuna's ongoing care costs. Pullman Radio
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ University of Idaho will host its 58th annual Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow from April 15 to April 18, where 2,200 students and educators will join for adjudicated contests, free workshops, and concerts. Evening events will include headliner performances and Meet the Artist sessions at ICCU Arena (a venue for student and public engagement). Big Country News

- ➤ United Way of Whitman County celebrated its third anniversary with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library—since launching in April 2022 it delivered nearly 25,000 free books to over 1,300 children and now sends a new book each month to about 950 kids, with state funding matching 50% of mailing costs. - ➤ Aaron Breshears was sworn in as Pullman's permanent police chief today—he had served as acting chief since December. He replaced former chief Opgenorth—who resigned after a sexual abuse investigation. KLEW
