- ➤ Community members raised nearly $11,000 to save the Barracuda Swim Team program, which was cut due to a budget shortfall. The summer swim program at Reaney Park Pool will run with fewer coaches and shorter practices (details to be released on Apr. 13, with registration opening on Apr. 16). Pullman Radio
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A WSU entomology professor is using solar-powered tags to track monarch butterflies in Idaho this season as part of the Adopt-a-Monarch project with nonprofit Wings Rising (tags cost $200 each) to guide future conservation efforts along migration routes. Pullman Radio
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The UI golf course will open for the season this Friday with tee times beginning at 10:00 a.m., though golfers will walk the wet course during the opener as part of UI’s Spring Parent and Family Weekend. Pullman Radio
