ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A pilot reported that a drone flew near his wing at 13,000 feet over Tekoa late Thursday afternoon, and air traffic controllers in Seattle passed the report to Spokane County Deputies who then notified the Whitman County Sheriffs Office at 6:00 p.m. Pullman Radio
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ The Gladish Collective, a Pullman co-working space, will host its grand opening party on Monday, April 7 from 10:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. where guests can enjoy free refreshments and tour the new facility. Pullman Radio
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ WSU announced that Dr. Partha Pande—who served as interim dean since February—will become the new dean of the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture effective April 16. Pullman Radio
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game will restock two fishing areas next week—adding 6,000 catchable-sized rainbow trout to Spring Valley Reservoir near Troy and 300 similar fish to Hordemann Pond in Moscow. Pullman Radio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Pullman Mayor Francis Benjamin nominated acting chief Aaron Breshears as permanent police chief — he served since December after former chief Jake Opgenorth was placed on leave amid an investigation. Pullman City Council will review his appointment during their meeting Tuesday. Pullman Radio
