- ➤ A fundraiser dinner and auction is scheduled for Saturday night at 6:00 inside the Ensminger Pavilion at WSU to support the Lauren McCluskey Foundation (established to honor a Pullman native and improve campus safety). Pullman Radio
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ GasBuddy reported on Tuesday, March 31, that regional regular gasoline prices ranged from $3.90 at Post Falls Chevron to $4.99 at Pullman stations including JMT, Mobile, Safeway and 76 + prices at other locations in the region varied accordingly. Whitman County Gazette
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ WSU President Betsy Cantwell will host an all-day listening session today in the Alger Family Club Room (Martin Stadium) as part of a WSU redesign effort. Sessions are scheduled for staff, faculty, undergraduates, graduate students, and community members starting at 8:00 a.m. Pullman Radio
- ➤ The League of Women Voters of Pullman and Whitman County will host a free public presentation on the Nez Perce Tribe tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at Neill Public Library, where Joyce McFarland will discuss tribal education and Jeanette Moody will cover tribal sovereignty. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Amy Caessens, a teacher and coach from Pullman School District, was hired as the new superintendent at Whitepine School District in Deary on April 2 + she is set to lead school improvements. Pullman Radio
- ➤ Pullman has been ranked second on RentCafe’s 2026 America’s Best College Towns list, marking its third consecutive year in the top spot. Moscow is placed eighth while Bozeman remains first on the list. Pullman Radio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Whitman County Commissioners approved testing of Permazyme on Country Club Road and Union Flat Road—Public Works Director Mark Storey said the road stabilizer may last 5 to 10 years at similar cost to current treatments. The county is also planning a new garbage-hauling contract to cut costs. Whitman County Gazette
