  • Girl Scouts cookie season opens today as local volunteers begin selling boxes at booths and school events across Pullman to raise funds for community programs.  KXLY
  • Girl Scout cookie season started Friday as local troops aim to sell one million cookies across Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, and cookie sales will continue until April 19 to fund troop programs and camp experiences (a key learning chance for scouts).  KXLY

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Whitman Association of Realtors announced two $1,000 scholarships for Whitman County high school seniors planning to continue their education this fall, one for a trade school student — the other for a student attending WSU. Eligible seniors are encouraged to apply if they meet the requirements.  Pullman Radio

HEALTH NEWS

  • Two physicians at Gritman Medical Center were honored by the Idaho Academy of Family Physicians—Dr. Parker as Family Physician of the Year and Dr. Fields as Advocate of the Year—for their work in patient care and advocacy; they will be recognized at the annual conference in May.  Pullman Radio
