  • Pullman Police say scammers are calling Washington State University athletes and their families by posing as police and NCAA officials to say an athlete was arrested and demand money to keep the arrest secret—do not share any personal or financial information.  KXLY

CULTURE NEWS

  • University of Idaho researchers will present Snail Hunters — a documentary that follows professors Parent, Harmon and Miller as they explore snail evolution on the Galápagos Islands — in free screenings next month in Idaho Falls and Moscow. The screenings will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2 at the Bennion Student Union and at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, where audiences can ask questions after the film.  Big Country News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A path between Military Hill and Pullman High School on private land has been closed indefinitely for safety as a new housing development is set to begin—this closure was posted online by the city on Monday. Pullman Schools Superintendent Dr. Bob Maxwell said the district is concerned and urged community members to contact the Community Development Director for further input.  Pullman Radio
