- ➤ Isabella Huntley won the Colfax Distinguished Young Women Scholarship program on Thursday night—she will now join the state program in Pullman this summer. Pullman Radio
- ➤ The U.S. Department of Education warned WSU, University of Washington-Seattle, Boise State and Montana State that they risk losing funding if they treat students unfairly based on race in admissions, financial aid, hiring or housing. The letter said—citing a 2023 Supreme Court ruling—that back-door methods giving white and Asian students an edge must stop. KXLY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Former Whitman County Commissioner Les Wigen died March 3rd at age 88. He served for 12 years starting in 1994 and his funeral will be held on March 21st at Selbu Lutheran Church near LaCrosse with the Corbeill Funeral Home caring for his family. Pullman Radio
