BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories has started site preparation in Moscow for a 250,000 sqft electronic manufacturing facility. The $50 million project will begin construction this summer and create about 1,000 jobs when fully operational. Whitman County Gazette

- ➤ Pullman FFA chapter is active in 15 events. Advisor Robert Matthews—who has 23 years guiding students—said the group hosted a trapshoot at the Colton Gun Club, wrapped its Soup-er Bowl drive with 410 items, and will soon make blankets for the Humane Society during FFA week. - ➤ Whitman County Undersheriff Chris Chapman is honored at a retirement celebration in Colfax at the Colfax Golf Course clubhouse from 3:00 to 5:30 today. He began his 33-year career with the sheriff’s office in Colfax. Pullman Radio

- ➤ Gonzaga's women's basketball team beat Washington State 75-50 today with strong rebounding and solid defense, improving their season record (20-8, 12-3). Their win showcased another dominant performance for the Bulldogs. KXLY
