- ➤ Voters in Whitman County approved school levies on Tuesday, with measures passing in LaCrosse, Steptoe, Rosalia, St. John, Tekoa, Colfax, Colton and Endicott while the Garfield pool levy failed—ballot counting will resume Friday afternoon. Pullman Radio

- ➤ After losing federal tax credits, 19,000 fewer people enrolled in state health insurance through the online exchange during open enrollment from Nov. 1 to Jan. 15 + officials warn that rising premiums and diminishing state help may push more residents to forgo coverage, especially in rural areas.
