- ➤ A 2024 report found WSU generated nearly $4 billion in statewide economic impact by delivering $1.75 billion in direct spending and $2.2 billion in indirect effects while supporting about 20,000 jobs, with 9,900 employees spending locally in 37 counties (Community Attributes Inc. conducted the study). ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Palouse Conservation District will host its 2026 Annual Meeting on Thursday, Jan. 15 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Table in Pullman, where the free event will review last year’s conservation successes, lay out future plans, and allow registered voters to cast board seat votes until 8:30 p.m., with dinner served at 5:30 p.m. Pullman Radio

- ➤ CHAS Health hosts a diabetes management workshop today at Neill Public Library from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., led by registered nurse Julie Nielsen of CHAS Health Mobile Medicine. The free event is open to the public with no registration required. Pullman Radio

- ➤ Kirby Moore secured his first major recruit for WSU as Lance McGee (a versatile linebacker from Yakima with impressive high school stats) decommitted from Oregon State to join the Cougars on the Palouse.
